Addison’s Outlook, JJ to JJ Hype, and a Waller Clone in LA?

Browns becoming less murky, Jaxson Dart gaining steam, and McCarthy could be a steal

First off, THANK YOU! I appreciate all of you that reached out as early adopters for this newsletter. Now, let’s get to the info.

  • Jordan Addison trial date set for July 15th [@SeifertESPN] but the situation is still fluid and we could see a plea deal. If a plea, most likely outcome is 1-2 games. If it goes to trial, we could see anything from 0 to 3+ games [Drew Davenport on TikTok, Twitter].

  • Clarity in Cleveland? Practice reports are suggesting Harold Fannin is ‘considered more of a long-term project than an immediate contributor’ while Diontae Johnson is the ‘clear favorite to win the slot receiver job’ [The Athletic].

  • The JJ to JJ connection in Minnesota is heating up, as Jefferson hyped up his new QB’s strong arm and ability to ‘zip it whenever he needs to’ [ESPN]. Sam Darnold finished 2024 as the QB8 in Minnesota while McCarthy is currently going as QB19 on Underdog. Major value alert!

  • Sleeper alert? 5th rounder Oronde Gadsden II is getting strong praise by Chargers OC Greg Roman, ‘flashing’ in practice and earning comparisons to Darren Waller [Chargers.com]. Still has an uphill battle with veterans Will Dissly and Tyler Conklin ahead of him but maybe someone to keep an eye on.

  • Jaxson Dart looking sharp in training camp while working with the second team [The Athletic]. Russell Wilson is still the team’s designated starter but with a difficult start to the year, we may see Dart at the helm in the first half of the season

📅 NFL Countdown

  • 34 days until training camp begins

  • 44 days until NFL the first NFL preseason game

  • 79 days until the NFL season kicks off

And appreciate all you early adopters. I’ll be sending a survey for feedback at the end of the week though you’re always welcome to simply reply to this as well.
