#2 WR in Denver?

A Major Injury in Tampa

📝 News & Notes

  • Bucs’ All Pro OT Tristan Wirfs underwent surgery Tuesday and ”will likely miss at least the first couple games of the regular season.” [@NFLSTROUD]
My take: It’s not often an OT makes the News & Notes but when that OT is Tristan Wirfs, it’s a big deal. With this much notice the Bucs should be able to minimize the blow but this will be something to keep an eye on if he has to miss additional time. Think it’s worth considering a very minor dock to the Bucs offense.

  • Marvin Mims looks like the top candidate to be the #2 WR alongside Courtland Sutton [Denver Post]

My take: For a player that only had a 29.5% route participation rate last year, it would be quite the jump for Mims to become the #2. But when you look at the depth chart, the other options are Devaughn Vele, Troy Franklin, and 3rd round rookie Pat Bryant. My personal take is we’ll see a rotation of these guys throughout the year and it’ll be hard to trust any pass catcher in this offense besides Sutton or Evan Engram.

📊 Poll of the Day

Shoutout to all the dads out there who voted for Kirk Cousins. You all see the vision of a nice relaxing day, a trip to the mall to check out the latest Kohl’s sales followed by the MVP Experience at Sports Clips, all washed down by some fireside Roy Rogerses.

If you knew a WR would finish the year as WR20, where would you draft them?
