📝 News & Notes

Aaron Jones is Questionable for tonight’s game after two limited practices
My take: It is still up in the air if he plays tonight but if he does, my expectation is he’ll slot in with his regular pass catching role, but less rushing than prior to the injury. Allowing Jordan Mason to take more of the rushing work would be the best way to maximize Aaron Jones’ skillset while not overdoing the workload off the injury.

Christian Watson set to return to action this week [Matt Schneidman]
My take: This is one of the more impressive recovery timelines given he suffered his ACL injury in January. There is a clear role and need for his skillset in the Packers wide receiver room but my expectation is the Packers will gradually ease him in from this injury. I’d give it a week or two before playing him in any formats.

Expect the Jets to be ‘active sellers’ and to ‘consider dealing veterans to acquire draft capital’ [ESPN]
My take: Breece Hall is the most fantasy relevant player that we could see traded, with the article suggesting a 35% chance and the most likely suitors being the Chargers, Chiefs, and Texans.

📺️ TNF Game Preview

8:15pm ET on Amazon Prime: MIN @ LAC (LAC -3.5, O/U 44.5)

Start with confidence
Vikings - Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison
Chargers - Justin Herbert, Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston, Keenan Allen, K Cameron Dicker

Start them if you need to
Vikings - Jordan Mason
Chargers - Kimani Vidal, Oronde Gadsden II, LAC DST

Sit them if you can
Vikings - Carson Wentz, Aaron Jones, TJ Hockenson, Jailen Nailor, MIN DST

My favorite TNF pick
Jordan Mason OVER 11.85 fantasy points (available on Underdog)
The Chargers have been getting destroyed on the ground by opposing RBs, with lead backs in the last three games averaging 111 rushing yards and 33 receiving yards, to go with 7 total TDs. Those three backs scored 26, 29, and 32.7 half PPR. If Aaron Jones sits, this over feels like a near lock. If he plays, I still expect Mason to get the majority of the rushing work and the goal line work which would still make him a strong play to surpass 11.85 fantasy points.
