💡 Fantasy Genius Last Call: 30% Off Annual Package

All week I’ve been telling you about Fantasy Genius, the platform designed to take your home leagues to the next level. From human-written previews and recaps to deep analytics and league-wide newsletters, it’s everything I wish home league platforms included.

I’ve been excited to partner with them as they opened up their platform to FFin60 subscribers to be early adopters. They are a great young company built by two brothers that are looking to change the fantasy football league experience.

They are offering subscribers one final incentive to join their platform: use promo code FF30 to get 30% off an annual subscription!

📝 News & Notes

  • Micah Parsons traded to the Packers [Ian Rapoport]

My take: While we don’t normally cover defensive trades, Micah Parsons is impactful enough his absence changes how we think about the Cowboys offense. Their defense gets significantly worse which means more trailing game scripts and more passing for Dak and his pass catchers. I don’t think we can ignore that it does increase the chance of team ruin if things go south but overall, I think this is a plus for the Cowboys passing game.

  • Jaylen Wright undergoes procedure, expects to miss multiple weeks [Marcel Louis-Jacques]

My take: The opportunity for Ollie Gordon could not be more clear for being the #2 and complementary back to Achane. His success will likely be dependent upon the success of their offensive line but given the talent we saw in 2023, it’s a bet I’m willing to make. He should be a clear sleeper target in all drafts this weekend.

  • Chris Godwin likely to miss at least first four weeks, according to Bucs GM [Greg Auman]

My take: The lack of a clear roadmap continues to concern me. I am still going to treat the Bucs as fairly rational and because Godwin was not placed on PUP to start the year, they believe he has a good chance of practicing in the first few weeks. But I am far from confident in anything around this situation. Evans and Egbuka remain great picks.

  • Jayden Reed injury more serious than originally known, question is can he play through the pain and avoid reinjury or being forced to undergo surgery [Jason Wilde]

My take: I’m lowering Jayden Reed 3-4 rounds in my ranks, enough that there is no chance I’ll be drafting him from here on out. The entire situation does not sound good and the risk of major in-season issues is too high. Let this be someone else’s problem and if you have him, may want to consider trading him before it’s too late.

⚕️ Injury Corner w/ Deepak Chona

With so many drafts this weekend, giving a double dose of injury corner this week so FFin60 readers have as much information as possible to dominate your drafts!

  • De'Von Achane - Each wk out adds ~5% in-season risk. If returns next wk, would be ~10%. Aggravation could be disaster (Achilles)

  • Jayden Reed - Practiced. Reports suggest pain with planting and cutting. Lean toward playing Wk 1 but w/moderate performance dip + re-injury risk

  • Tyjae Spears - Severe high ankle. Data favors Wk 5-6 + major dip (20-25%) 1st 4-6 wks back. Pollard up

  • Joe Mixon - Major concern. Suspect this could go all season. NFI = non-football injury. Possible rumors that he may have had procedure that wasn't approved and didn't succeed

  • Najee Harris - Returned to practice. Lean heavily toward playing Wk 1

  • Isaiah Likely - Avoided PUP. Data favors return Wk 2-4 at 85% efficiency initially. TEs avg ~4 game ramp up in target + snap volume

  • Marvin Mims - Groin. Avg ~ 2 wks. Comments suggest mild. If accurate, likely playing Wk 1. Return to practice time = key

  • Justin Jefferson - Mild hamstring. Returned to practice after 2 wks of pre-season missed. Data projects 10% in-season re-aggravation risk. Likely no dip by Wk 1

  • Malik Nabers - Toe + back = No major concerns, but consider slightly elevated risk vs avg WR

  • Jaydon Blue - Low ankle. Returned to practice. Likely playing w/o volume limit Wk 1. RBs tend to see minimal production hit

  • Cade Otton - New leg injury. Prior hamstring cost 2 wks. High in-season risk given multiple (suspected) soft tissue injuries

  • Stefon Diggs - Clean ACL. Trending toward full snap count Wk 1. Data projects hitting 90% of pre-injury efficiency by Wk 5. Would bet big on him at ADP

  • Brandon Aiyuk - ACL+MCL. Data projects ~Wk 6-8 return + initially volatile stats due to target volume

📊 Poll of the Day

Yesterday’s poll: Across all your fantasy football leagues (not DFS/best ball), how much money do you have at stake?

I loved reading all the comments regarding ‘don’t tell my wife’ and ‘i only count the winnings at the end of the year.’ Lotta high rollers up in here!

Keep an eye out next week as I’ve got a couple things up my sleeve I think you all will like…

Which rookie RB would you most want to own in Dynasty?
