Blocking Out the Noise
And maybe the most important poll yet??
📝 News & Notes
There were a few reports yesterday that I am mostly ignoring, including Bucky Irving taking that next step forward, Jags beat reporter thinking Etienne remains the lead back, and Kellen Moore giving Tyler Shough a heads up about Carr’s retirement which perhaps signals he’s the frontrunner. But I’m not including bullets on those because I don’t think those things should shift our current perspectives. There was however one report that stuck out to me:
Jets HC Aaron Glenn has been praising Mason Taylor’s abilities, most noteworthy his blocking ability. [newyorkjets.com]

My take: Poor blocking is the most common reason for rookie TEs to miss out on playing time. The additional comments in the article about his dynamic movements, catching the ball, north and south, etc. are good to hear but the positive blocking comments is what moves the needle most for me.
🔁 In Case You Missed It
DraftKings launched 7 new Best Ball contests, ranging from $1 to $50 and including King of the Desert qualifiers. I won’t be doing many of the qualifiers but I like the small contest structure of the 3-max. Check out Michael Dubner’s tweet evaluating each of the contests further. [@Dubner_Michael]

📊 Poll of the Day
Okay. Now for potentially the most important poll yet. It’s been almost two weeks since the closed beta of FFin60 and your feedback has been amazingly helpful in crafting the tone, style, and content of these daily emails. So I’m putting this question out to all of you: is FFin60 officially ready for public launch?
There is no doubt I’ll continue to lean on your feedback to improve this as we go forward but I’ll leave it up to you all if you feel it’s ready for me to publicly launch.

Yesterday’s Favorite Stack Poll
There was a clear favorite stack, with nearly 60% choosing the Cowboys. I definitely see the logic as we have seen Dak throw 30+ TDs and 4000 yards, George Pickens is one of the better WR2’s in the league and a great complementary piece to Lamb, and we can’t expect them to be running much with that mess of a backfield.
But my personal favorite stack choice of these is the Vikings. I am grabbing Justin Jefferson as high as #2 in drafts to give me more RB flexibility in future rounds. Jordan Addison has shown single game upside and will get his volume in a rather concentrated offense. But most importantly, JJ McCarthy is currently going as QB18 despite Sam Darnold finishing as the QB8 last year in this same, less healthy offense. I believe McCarthy is not only a step up from Darnold as a passer, but also is an underrated athlete that I expect to scramble more often in his rookie year.
