Last chance to get a present for the women in your lives before the holidays. Imagine their face when you explain where you found out about this gift đź‘€

Period cramps don’t stand a chance against the Menstruation Crustacean.

Looking for a gift that’s both useful and adorable? The Menstruation Crustacean Lobster Heating Pad is the sleeper hit of the season. This microwaveable little lobster warms up in seconds and provides soothing relief for period cramps, back pain, and all the winter aches that come with holiday stress. It’s soft, it’s adorable, and it works shockingly well.

Perfect for your best friend, your sister, your coworker, or that Secret Santa exchange you almost forgot about—this crustacean brings cozy vibes and instant cheer. Equal parts practical and playful, it’s one of those gifts people don’t realize they need… until they try it.

📝 News & Notes

Patriots sign Elijah Mitchell, probably not a great sign for TreVeyon Henderson’s hopes this weekend
My take: Henderson is in the concussion protocol and while it would always have been a long-shot for him to not miss time, this signing only reinforces that belief

Bears believe Rome Odunze “is going to help us this year”
My take: I’d be surprised if we see Odunze during the regular season and almost assuredly he’ll miss this week’s game

Vikings to start Max Brosmer, as JJ McCarthy has a hairline fracture in his hand
My take: With only a 19.5 point total against the Lions, the market is not expecting much from this offense. Aaron Jones likely the best play given no Jordan Mason but everyone else carries risk.

Jordan Love limited in practice, progressing well through concussion protocol
My take: If Love is able to play this week, he would be the first player I can recall this year to go through the concussion protocol in just seven days (CeeDee Lamb did it in one week but it was a TNF game). But he’s a QB and the NFL needs their QBs…

Jets place Justin Fields on IR, ending his season
My take: Any last hope being held out for Fields returning this year has been put to bed. He finishes with 3 25+ games, 4 games with fewer than 10 fantasy points, and only 10 games in total played.

🧠 Lesson Learned: Roster Balance w/ Rookies

Last week I asked FFin60 readers for their 2025 fantasy football lessons learned. One of the common themes was around roster structure when drafting rookies.

“Balance is required. Don't reach for too many rookies or upside players. You still need solid, boring choices to ensure your floor.” - Gregginco

“Drafting too many rookies puts you in too far of a hole to dig yourself out of when they finally do start getting hot. Most don't get rocking until the 2nd half of the season and by then, you likely have too many losses from the slow start of the season for it to make a difference. I drafted 4 different rookies this year. I will keep it to 2 max going forward.” - ydave200

Both of these quotes point to a theme I think applies to both best ball and season-long. We want the upside of the rookies who are more likely to emerge in the second half of the season but if we fill our roster with too many of those types, we may dig ourselves into too deep an early hole to climb out of. The way I’ve always described it is your team should tell a story. The narrative should be built around how you see that team succeeding and advancing through each round, from the regular season to the championship. And this type of balance is critical.
