📝 News & Notes

Jakobi Meyers signs three year, $60 million extension [Adam Schefter]
My take: Not great news for the long-term prospects of Brian Thomas Jr. as a Jag or Travis Hunter as an offensive player.

Saints beat reporter believes Audric Estime likely to start at RB [Nick Underhill]
My take: The Saints are 4.5 point favorite vs the Jets which makes this tempting but the floor is still very low as they could use Evan Hull, more Taysom, use short passes as their rushing game, or just fail as an offense.

⚕️ Injury Corner

RB
Josh Jacobs - DNP, DNP. Missed all of this week’s practices but they’ve made it clear he can still play without practice.
D’Andre Swift - LP, LP. Questionable tag though my lean is we see him play, will be following Fri practice reports.
Woody Marks - DNP, DNP. After HC Ryans noted Marks could have returned to the game last week, concerns are increasing after two straight missed practices.

WR
DAL CeeDee Lamb - DNP, DNP. Missed back-to-back practices with an illness but it’s very rare we see a player miss a game from being sick
ATL Drake London - LP, LP. The Falcons have no reason to push it with London so my take is he’ll only play if they feel he’s 100%. I imagine we’ll get a solid report on if he’s playing late Saturday night.
CIN Tee Higgins - LP, LP. Still needs medical clearance from the concussion but looks like he’ll probably play.
KC Rashee Rice - DNP, DNP. It’s rare for any player to get through the concussion protocol in less than a week and not expecting Rice to buck that trend.
ARI Marvin Harrison Jr. - LP, LP. Trending in the right direction towards playing which would kill all of Michael Wilson’s value.
SF Ricky Pearsall - DNP Thu. Reports are there is a chance he plays but given his poor performance outside of last week, and this injury, I’d look elsewhere for WR help.
GB Christian Watson - LP, LP. After a hospital scare, Watson looks to continue his quick recoveries as he “should be good” for their big game this weekend.
LAC Quentin Johnston - LP, LP. This one looking like it may come down to a game-time decision as we’ve seen a couple times this year.

TE
ATL Kyle Pitts - LP. Not the most surprising given this lingering knee injury but worth keeping an eye on. Also worth keeping an eye on London b/c if he plays, Kyle Pitts’ role will be significantly diminished.
