We're back! And we are just 10 days away from NFL action being on our screens. Whether you have been drafting best ball all summer or are just getting back into the swing of things with home leagues, FFin60 is back to help you win your leagues.

The only change you can expect this year is that if there is not enough important info to send an email, we won’t waste your time. If there’s news, FFin60 will be in your inbox when you wake up. Hopefully this will make the mornings you read the emails that much more helpful.

📝 News & Notes

Camps are open and the talk around the league are injuries. Who is starting off on preseason PUP, who is avoiding it, and everything else in between.

Patrick Mahomes (KC, QB) was fully cleared to participate in training camp on Friday, seven months after tearing his ACL in Week 15, with Andy Reid saying the Chiefs will "just take it day by day and see how he does."
My take: I don’t think there was a knee injury discount but if so, it is about to disappear. A quarterback who practices in July almost always plays Week 1, and Mahomes gets a full camp plus three preseason weeks to build up. I still have major concerns with the offense, his pass catchers, and him not running as often this year, but don’t think there should be any concern for him not playing Week 1.

Malik Nabers (NYG, WR) is not expected to open camp on the PUP list, though the Giants "are expected to bring him along slowly, and just because he's not on PUP, that doesn't mean he will be practicing immediately."
My take: This is a rather significant change from what we were previously hearing. Most thought it a near-lock he would start camp on the PUP simply because there’s no downside for him or the team. This is either some crazy trickery by the Giants to coerce fans into buying tickets or more likely, they’re actually optimistic with what they’re seeing out of him. I still expect him to miss a couple games but am now targeting him in the mid 3rd.

Rashee Rice (KC, WR) got the same clearance Friday after a May knee debridement and a 30 day jail sentence that ended June 16, with Reid saying "he's done a great job rehabbing up here."
My take: Rashee Rice has most his off-season issues behind him and now looks to use the full training camp to re-establish himself as Mahomes’ #1 option. I’m not reaching for him but think he’s a fine pick in the early 3rd.

Tyreek Hill (FA, WR) posted a rehab video Wednesday night, ten months and two surgeries removed from a dislocated left knee, saying "I have no power in my left leg, so I'm trying to regain all the power back in my left leg."
My take: In May I said I'd still mix him in as a last round flier because the upside was worth a dart throw. But I’m not doing that any longer. He's a free agent in late July with no power in the leg and no timeline, and nobody signs that in time for it to matter. He's off my draft board completely.

Quinshon Judkins, (CLE, RB) will be full-go for Browns training camp.
My take: This is rather optimistic news given the severity of the injury. However, full health is not enough for me to feel comfortable drafting Judkins. He is primarily an early down RB for a team with a competent pass-catching back, a declining defense that will force the Browns to throw more often, and only projected to win 5.5 games. Small hit, big miss type player.

Jonathon Brooks (CAR, RB) practiced fully for the first time in his NFL career on Thursday and took first team looks, with Dave Canales saying "he looks like the guy that I remember."
My take: The excitement around Brooks is contagious as all reports this offseason have been strong. My concern though is the team still likes Chuba Hubbard and I think it’s unlikely he ever fully fades away. So the bull case for Brooks ends up being the 1A in a subpar offense, with yet to be proven in the NFL talent.

George Kittle (SF, TE) has been placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.
My take: This is a perfect buy-the-dip moment, particularly on DraftKings where he’s got the OUT tag. I am still working on the most likely outcome being Kittle missed Week 1 in Australia but plays shortly after that.
