Strong performance by the Falcons as Michael Penix leads them to a decisive 35-14 victory. After last night’s game, he’s now sitting at 7c on Kalshi and 15c on Polymarket to win comeback player of the year. Will be a fun one to sweat the next couple weeks.

📝 News & Notes

Nico Collins and Zay Flowers are again looking to be on the wrong side of questionable, both non-participants at Thursday's practice with the hamstrings that have lingered since Week 2. Houston and Baltimore are each staring at another week without their No. 1 wideout.
My take: Fair to assume both are out unless we see full practices on Friday. That guts an already thin Texans passing game and knocks C.J. Stroud down a tier, while in Baltimore the targets continue to funnel to Rashod Bateman, who remains a boom-bust flex I would only start if I'm desperate.

Brock Bowers was a limited participant Thursday, his clearest step yet toward returning after the knee cost him the start to the season.
My take: limited on Thursday is a step in the right direction. I’ll be looking for a full practice either Friday or Saturday before assuming he’ll play this week. If active, he’s a must start.

Denver's backfield got a jolt of good news Thursday, with Jonah Coleman (ankle), RJ Harvey (hamstring), and J.K. Dobbins (hip) all spotted on the field during the media-access window after a murky Wednesday.
My take: my take is still the same as earlier in the week. If one of these RBs is active, they’re a must start. If two, they’re okay starts. If all three active, I wouldn’t want to start any of them.

Pittsburgh's backfield is banged up, with Jaylen Warren (shoulder) limited Thursday while Rico Dowdle (toe) sat out for a second straight day.
My take: Dowdle missing back-to-back practices makes him unlikely to be active this week. If he can't go, Warren is a strong start but reason to believe he still won’t be a workhorse given the Steelers lack of willingness to give him that workload in the past. New coaching staff, yes, but can’t ignore the past.

Elsewhere, the news was better: Malik Nabers (shoulder) practiced in full Thursday and is trending toward playing through the dislocation, Aaron Jones (knee) and Travis Etienne (hamstring) were both limited, Mike Evans (hip) was running on a side field, and the Giants officially placed Jaxson Dart (knee) on IR with Jameis Winston taking the reins. On the Monday side, Saquon Barkley said his shoulder MRI "went well" while DJ Moore (shoulder) and Caleb Williams (hamstring) both sat out in Chicago, so don’t count on them this weekend.

Injury updates to help set your Sunday lineups

Nico Collins (HOU): DNP again Thursday with the hamstring. Treat him as out this week, with next week likely questionable.

Zay Flowers (BAL): second straight non-participant, all but ruled out for Sunday. Rashod Bateman is the pivot if you need a Ravens wideout.

Brock Bowers (LV): limited Thursday, trending toward his season debut. A Friday practice locks him into the low-end TE1 range.

Puka Nacua (LAR): still has not practiced this week with the groin and is leaning toward another absence, which keeps Davante Adams a strong start.

Rico Dowdle (PIT): DNP two straight days with the toe, putting his Sunday workload in real doubt and boosting Jaylen Warren.

Jonah Coleman (DEN): back on the field Thursday after a Wednesday DNP, the best sign yet that he plays through the ankle.

Aaron Jones (MIN): limited Thursday with the knee, on track but not a lock.

Travis Etienne (NO): limited with the hamstring, trending toward suiting up.

Malik Nabers (NYG): full practice Thursday and expected to play through the shoulder dislocation, though production dips are common in that spot.

Tony Pollard (TEN): limited Thursday with the ankle, leaning toward active.
