Thursday's practice reports are in, and the Week 5 Sunday slate is stacked with WR1-level injury questions you need to sort before you set your lineups.
📝 News & Notes
Justin Jefferson (ankle) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, a clear step up from the start of the week as he pushes to return Sunday at New Orleans after sitting out Week 4.
My take: limited on Thursday is the trend you want, and I expect him to suit up, but with a Week 6 bye sitting right behind this game the Vikings have no reason to rush him, so glance at the Friday report before you lock him in.
DeVonta Smith (hamstring) did not practice Thursday, stacking another missed session as the Eagles head overseas to face Jacksonville in Sunday's 9:30am London kickoff.
My take: no reason to believe he’ll be back with this week, especially with what’s been going on with the rest of the Eagle.
Ladd McConkey (foot) sat out Thursday's practice, leaving the Chargers' top wideout in doubt for their home date with Denver.
My take: a second straight non-participant is not the direction you want. Quentin Johnston (chest) is banged up too, so if McConkey cannot go, the Los Angeles passing picture gets murky in a hurry.
Brock Bowers (knee) returned to full participation Thursday, the clearest sign yet that the Raiders tight end is good to go at New England.
My take: this is the good-news item of the day. Not the best matchup but you’re obviously still starting him assuming health.
DJ Moore (shoulder) did not practice Thursday, putting his status for Monday night at the Rams in question.
My take: Moore has been fighting through an AC joint issue, and if he cannot go, Keon Coleman is the clear beneficiary and a sneaky Monday-night flex. He gets the extra day of rest but if he doesn’t practice Friday, I’d plan for another option.
Elsewhere, Ashton Jeanty (ankle, foot) and Jeremiyah Love (ankle) were both limited but trending toward playing, Kyle Monangai (turf toe) is aiming to gut it out for Chicago, Rhamondre Stevenson (knee) and Dallas Goedert (knee) were limited, Mike Evans (ribs) sat but got in side work for San Francisco, and Pat Bryant (ankle) did not practice for Denver. Lamar Jackson still a possibility to play Sunday night but not a lock. Mike Evans Did not practice but got in side work on the ribs, leaving him questionable in Seattle.
