Week 3 was a bloodbath at running back, so this week's board is all about plugging the holes those injuries just blew open.

📺 News & Notes

De'Von Achane tore his ACL in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs and is done for the season, a brutal end for a back who never got rolling in Miami's stalled offense.
My take: it's a season-ending gut punch for Achane managers, and I’m not optimistic that either Jaylen Wright or Ollie Gordon will be startable in his absence.

Baker Mayfield dislocated his throwing thumb late in the loss to Minnesota and will miss at least three weeks, though the MRI showed no fracture or ligament damage.
My take: rookie Jalon Daniels steps into a run-first game plan that caps the whole passing game, so I'm downgrading Emeka Egbuka and Chris Godwin to touchdown-dependent flexes until Mayfield is back.

Breece Hall needed help off the field with a quad injury and is now considered week to week, a real dent in a Jets backfield that was finally producing.
My take: for games that Hall sits, Braelon Allen inherits a RB2/flex role, making him a solid pick-up for those in need.

Elsewhere: Justin Jefferson (ankle) avoided anything serious, and Travis Etienne (hamstring) and Mike Evans (rib) are both being evaluated.

📝 Waiver Wire Report

The injuries this weekend gutted backfields across the league, so most of the value sits at running back this week. Here's who to prioritize.

Running Backs

Ollie Gordon II (MIA) is the top add of the week, sliding into the lead early-down role now that De'Von Achane is out for the year with a torn ACL. If you lost Achane, I get the desire to bid on him but my personal take which is a bit contrarian, is Achane struggled in this offense with all the volume and much more talent. Spend if you need to but I’d pass. FAAB: 20-30% (if you want him).

Braelon Allen (NYJ) is the must-add if Breece Hall (quad) misses time, and Hall's injury did not look minor. Allen would step into an RB2/3 role in a Jets offense that's been running the ball effectively. FAAB: 15-25%.

Woody Marks (HOU) vultured the goal-line touchdown from David Montgomery on Sunday, while David Montgomery has been one of the worst RBs this year. FAAB: 6-10%.

Keaton Mitchell (LAC) is the more explosive back in the Chargers' committee, adding eight carries, three catches and a score behind Omarion Hampton. Flex value now, more if Hampton's role slips. FAAB: 5-8%.

Kendre Miller (NO) could earn early-down work with Travis Etienne (hamstring) banged up, leaving Miller and an aging Alvin Kamara to split the Saints backfield. Speculative, but the upside is real if Etienne sits. FAAB: 3-5%.

Wide Receivers

Keenan Allen (IND) posted nine targets, six catches, 63 yards and a touchdown with Alec Pierce on IR, and Pierce could be out well past the four-week minimum. Allen is a WR4 with weekly upside until then. FAAB: 8-12%.

Tre' Harris (LAC) has out-played a wildly inefficient Quentin Johnston and just posted his best game of the year, six catches for 76 yards on seven targets. He could leapfrog Johnston as the Chargers' No. 2 any week now. FAAB: 5-8%.

Tight Ends

Kenyon Sadiq (NYJ) is the must-add at the position, exploding for 7-105-1 (20 points) with Mason Taylor and the Jets' other tight ends out. He's available in a third of leagues and worth the top TE bid even with his route rate still climbing. FAAB: 10-15%.

Juwan Johnson (NO) hasn't scored under 8.5 half-PPR points in a game this season and sits as Tyler Shough's clear No. 2 target with Jordyn Tyson on IR. In this fast-paced Saints offense, he's a set-and-forget TE1. FAAB: 5-8%.

Quarterbacks

Geno Smith (NYJ) torched Detroit for 321 yards and three touchdowns and has been quietly productive all year. He's a superflex priority and a matchup-based streamer worth a look in one-QB leagues too. FAAB: 3-6%.

Daniel Jones (IND) keeps posting quiet-but-usable lines and adds rushing upside, leaning on a healthy Colts pass game. Superflex-only streamer with a decent floor. FAAB: 1-3%.
