If you rode the Rams in survivor this week, our condolences. Los Angeles was one of the chalkiest picks on the Week 6 board and still went down 18-16 at home to Arizona, torching survivor entries everywhere in a weekend full of upsets.

📝 Week 6 Key Takeaways
HOU - With David Montgomery (groin) out, Woody Marks took over the backfield on 17 touches, while Jawhar Jordan broke a 25-yard score. Jaylin Noel (4-107-1) shined in Marvin Harrison Jr.'s quiet Texans debut (Houston traded a second-rounder for him and eased him in as a clear fifth receiver). Dalton Schultz has slipped to a 40% snap share and is droppable.
JAX - Trevor Lawrence threw four touchdowns and still lost the shootout. Bhayshul Tuten stays a must-start (two scores, 19 of 24 second-half snaps), with Chris Rodriguez Jr. only a flex in likely blowouts. Travis Hunter broke out both ways (an interception plus a receiving TD, 4-59-1) as Brian Thomas Jr. played zero second-half snaps after no catches and a bad drop or two in the first.
CHI - Caleb Williams returned from a three-game hamstring absence and was surgical (30/36, 305). Luther Burden III posted bizarre splits, a season-low 44% route rate but a season-high workload (8-95, targeted on 44% of his routes), so he stays boom-or-bust until he sees more snaps. D'Andre Swift found the end zone twice with Kyle Monangai sitting with an injury.
ATL - Kyle Pitts finally flashed startable usage, playing a season-high 74% of snaps and cashing two scores (5-60-2). Bijan Robinson has cleared 78% snaps two weeks running. Jahan Dotson rode a season-high 85% snap share to his best game as a Falcon (3-87-1).
BAL - Without Lamar Jackson (ankle) a second straight week, Tyler Huntley managed a 13-10 loss and Derrick Henry got stuffed at 17-58 despite an 85%-plus early-down snap share. Rashod Bateman left with a shoulder injury. Rookie Ja'Kobi Lane, just back from IR, is a stash worth grabbing for a second-half breakout.
CLE - Down to two backs who were not on the roster in camp, Cleveland rode Jaleel McLaughlin (lead and passing-down work) with Audric Estime (9-19-1) on short yardage. Quinshon Judkins (ankle) was a late scratch but trends toward a Week 7 return, so Dylan Sampson is the top waiver flier of this group and McLaughlin second. Deshaun Watson did just enough (16/26, 164) in the defensive win.
TEN - The Titans got their first win, but Cam Ward (11/22, 102) is still struggling. Tony Pollard handled a full workload (19-76). The receiver room is reshuffling: Carnell Tate leads it while Wan'Dale Robinson slid to a season-low 73% of 11-personnel snaps and is droppable in shallow leagues as Tennessee leans younger.
IND - Jonathan Taylor was a monster even in a stunning home loss (21-94-1 rushing, 2-57 receiving), with Daniel Jones turning it over twice. Tyler Warren (groin) was inactive, opening snaps for Will Mallory (2-20), a deep-league add if Warren misses time. Keenan Allen stayed busy (8-82 on 11 targets).
NYJ - Rookie first-rounder Omar Cooper Jr. broke out in his return from ankle IR (6-103-1 on an 82% snap share) and is a top waiver target. Geno Smith (252, 1 TD) kept it close. With Breece Hall (quad) out a third straight week, Braelon Allen stays the feature back. Even when Hall returns, Allen has likely played well enough to steal some of his workload.
NE - Drake Maye (18/32, 235, 3 TD) spread it around in the win, with DeMario Douglas (7-86-1) the best of the bunch, though he only plays 11 personnel. A.J. Brown returned from IR at a 76% snap share but managed three catches on 10 targets. Romeo Doubs scored a 42-yarder then left with a shoulder injury, and TreVeyon Henderson played through a high-ankle sprain at just 34% of early downs as Corey Kiner (11-57) ate. In dynasty leagues, I’d be trying to pick on Kiner.
NO - Tyler Shough (144, 3 TD plus a rushing score) was wildly efficient. Kendre Miller has taken over the backfield with Alvin Kamara (back) banged up and done after the third quarter, so Miller is a priority add. Chris Olave's dip to 58% snaps was likely illness and blowout script, nothing to worry about.
NYG - The Giants benched Cam Skattebo (four fumbles in five games) into a four-way committee, so avoid the backfield for now. Malik Nabers was unstoppable (12-165 on 15 targets) and Isaiah Likely posted a career-high 91% snap share (6-99-1). J.J. McCarthy relieved Jameis Winston late and nearly led a historic comeback; he may have the job going forward.
CAR - Chuba Hubbard is a locked-in workhorse, dominating a 94% snap share without AJ Dillon for 120 yards and a score. Bryce Young (281, 2 TD) was sharp in the road upset, Jalen Coker returned to a full-time role (6-97 on 13 targets), and Tommy Tremble caught two touchdowns.
PHI - Jalen Hurts landed on IR with a blood clot (out at least four weeks, possibly the season), so Tanner McKee (26/45, 215) is the starter. With Saquon Barkley (hamstring) out and Will Shipley to IR, Dameon Pierce is a startable back if Saquon misses again. DeVonta Smith (7-75-1) returned and Dallas Goedert climbed to an 81% snap share.
PIT - Aaron Rodgers (253, 2 TD) won it in overtime. Germie Bernard has fully arrived (11-87-1) with three of Pittsburgh's top-five receivers out, so add him everywhere he is left. Jaylen Warren saw the majority of work (31 of 37 snaps in the fourth quarter and overtime) even with Rico Dowdle back, though I’m unsure if that late usage was because Dowdle was still coming back from the injury as they started in a more even split.
TB - Bucky Irving dominated snaps like never before (85% overall, a career high) but did little with it (19-46 rushing), while Kenneth Gainwell was efficient on limited touches. Baker Mayfield (thumb) sat a third straight week, leaving Jalon Daniels to struggle (164, 1 TD, 2 INT). Emeka Egbuka still soaked up a massive 16 targets and remains the one Buc pass catcher to trust.
ARI - With rookie Jeremiyah Love (ankle) out, the backfield was closer than expected: Bam Knight (15-80) outran Tyler Allgeier (18-38) and was the better receiver, making Knight the better short-term play if Love misses more (monitor a wrist scare). Jacoby Brissett managed 218 and a pick in the low-scoring upset win, and Trey McBride led the team in targets (nine).
LAR - Matthew Stafford (222, 2 TD) could not stop the upset. Tyler Higbee surged to a season-high 83% snap share and is the better fantasy tight end here than Colby Parkinson (who still caught the score). Kyren Williams handled nearly all the second-half backfield work; Davante Adams limped off late with a foot or leg injury to monitor.
LAC - The Chargers' offense sputtered in a 22-6 loss, with Justin Herbert held to 204 yards, no scores and an interception. The bigger blow was Ladd McConkey leaving with a concussion (he has a Week 7 bye, so there's a buy-low window). The banged-up receiver room stayed in flux around Quentin Johnston's 57 yards. Mike McDaniel’s time as OC might be coming to and end in Los Angeles.
KC - Kansas City leaned on Kenneth Walker III (19-128-2), who handled 82% of early-down snaps as the clear lead back, with Emmett Johnson the passing-down man (84% of third downs). With Rashee Rice still out, Xavier Worthy is a trustworthy starter after catching all seven targets for 73 yards. Patrick Mahomes managed the 22-6 win without a passing touchdown.
BUF - Josh Allen (255, 2 TD) and James Cook (22-95-1) powered the 33-30 shootout win. With DJ Moore (shoulder) still out and Joshua Palmer limited in his return (just 25% of snaps), Keon Coleman (4-59-1) stayed a full-time option and is the Bills receiver to own until Moore is back.
LV - Ashton Jeanty is getting tougher to trust: he is not yet 100% and is ceding passing-down work, so he is a shaky top-10 play even as a weekly starter. Jalen Nailor returned from a concussion into a 12-personnel-heavy attack (the Raiders have nearly abandoned three-receiver sets with Jack Bech on IR). Vegas put up 30 in the loss.
Snap and usage data from PFF's Week 6 recap, which you can read here.
⚕️ Injury Corner w/ Deepak Chona
Lamar Jackson (BAL): Data favors a Week 7-8 return, with Week 7 more likely.
Jalen Hurts (PHI): On IR. No word yet on blood thinners; if he is on them, typically 6-12 weeks out (usually closer to 12).
Saquon Barkley (PHI): Data favors Week 7-8, with Week 8 more likely. Re-injury risk is high, and they may slow-play his return if a trade is on the table.
A.J. Brown (NE): 10 targets, 3 catches, 3 drops. Likely to improve, but the data favors a dip from his pre-injury baseline over the next four weeks, plus re-injury risk.
DJ Moore (BUF): Data strongly favors a Week 8 return (Week 7 is a bye) without a performance dip.
Baker Mayfield (TB): Return suspected Week 7-8, with Week 7 more likely.
Quinshon Judkins (CLE): Trending toward a Week 7 return.
Tyler Warren (IND): Re-aggravated his preseason groin. Averages about three weeks, so most would miss Week 7.
Dalton Kincaid (BUF): Ribs. Average production hit is about four weeks, but players often play through it; with a Week 7 bye, lean a Week 8 return.
Ladd McConkey (LAC): Concussion. Most return by two weeks, and he has a Week 7 bye, making him a buy-low candidate.
Jeremiyah Love (ARI): Week 7 is possible, but the data favors sitting him for a Week 8-9 return.
Romeo Doubs (NE): Video suggests an AC sprain. About one in four receivers return the following week; most miss one.
