Impactful Weekend Fantasy News
Lamar, AJB, and Penix...

📝 News & Notes
We don’t normally have a Saturday FFin60 but given the impactful news over the past 24 hours, thought you all would appreciate it.
Lamar Jackson at serious risk for not playing this week after running the scout team and the Ravens signing Tyler Huntler off the practice squad [Ian Rapoport]
My take: If Lamar sits, this would be a major dock to all Ravens skill players. Pass catchers the obvious hit but even Derrick Henry loses scoring equity as the team total drops and they become lesser favorites. This isn’t yet a guarantee as sources have been wrong before or Lamar could wake up Sunday feeling great but my lean is Lamar sits (team total has also moved from -7 to -3.5.
AJ Brown a suprise inactive for this weekend’s game
My take: This is a major upgrade for both DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert on what is already a tightly concentrated target tree. DeVonte Smith moves up to my WR6 for the weekend while Dallas Goedert jumps up to TE2. It also increases the possibility the Eagles return to a run-first mentality if Barkley can get going in this revenge match-up vs the Giants.
Kirk Cousins is “highly likely” to start in replacement for Michael Penix [Adam Schefter]
My take: This is a ++ matchup vs the Dolphins and with Cousins having familiarity in this offense and being another year removed from the Achilles injury, I think it’s fair to assume the Falcons won’t suffer much of a downgrade from Penix. I’ve actually even given Mooney a small bump in the rankings due to the previous rapport he has shown with Cousins.
In other QB news, both Bryce Young and JJ McCarthy are looking hopeful for returning to action next week.
