Injury Updates for Week 1 Availability

⚕️ Injury Corner w/ Deepak Chona

• Joe Mixon - Lean toward missing >> 4 wks. Most non-surgical foot/ankle injuries at this point would've healed. Suspect complication/setback

• De'Von Achane - Project return to practice ~1 wk + playing Wk 1. If so, re-injury risk ~10%

• Nick Chubb - Data projects rise from '24 to 85% of early '23 level. '23 knee injury =2 yr recovery. Ability to sustain high workloads = highly questionable

• AJ Brown - Not practicing, but running routes. Most WRs only run if near return. Likely 100% by Wk 1

• Lamar Jackson - Got X-ray for foot after getting stepped on. Returned today. Threshold to get an X-ray in NFL is almost zero. No major concern

• Isaiah Likely - 6 wks = possible, but avg = 8. Data favors out Wk 1, return Wk 2-4. TEs see 4 game ramp up

• Jayden Reed - Comments suggest Wk 1 return. Video shows him still mildly limping. Was in boot only 2 wks ago. Suspect higher concern than team is expressing

• Jauan Jennings - Calf reported but comments suggest contract-related. Suspect low injury concern

• Tetairoa McMillan - Hamstring. Reportedly clean imaging w/plan to return this wk. If so, data projects in-season re-aggravation risk ~5% (low) w/minimal Wk 1 concern

• Khalil Shakir - Comments suggest ready Wk 1. Data favors ~20% efficiency dip thru Wk 6

• Kenneth Walker - Suspect that foot soreness = more significant than comments suggest. Very likely ready Wk 1 at 100%, but competing w/Charbonnet would likely be a priority if fully healthy. +In-season risk

• Brandon Aiyuk - Likely PUP. Video = promising. Suggests on track for mid-Oct return. WRs avg 6 game ramp up

• Matthew Stafford - Likely playing Wk 1 w/o limit. Concern = bad hit or trunk rotation while throwing may re-aggravate disc herniation. Very difficult to play thru that pain even for Stafford

• Josh Downs - Hamstring. Return to practice planned for next wk. If so, would be projected to play Wk 1 w/o dip. Re-injury risk ~10% in-season w/o

• Sam LaPorta - Returned to practice after ~1 wk. Diagnosis not released, but confirms low in-season concern
