Key Fantasy Injury Updates

⚕️ Injury Corner

ARI Kyler Murray - LP on Thur. Cardinals are purposefully being vague on who will start this week. Given this is a MNF gam and one of the best matchups for QBs, if I had Kyler on my fantasy team, I would grab Jacoby Brissett and just play whichever of the two starts Monday.

CIN Joe Flacco - DNP, LP. HC Zac Taylor called it 50-50 on Wednesday but returning to practice and going through his normal warmup and throwing routine Thursday is promising.

ATL Michael Penix Jr. - LP, LP. Considered day-to-day but trending in the right direction to start Week 9.

SF Brock Purdy - LP, LP. Second week in a row he didn’t miss a practice but all other practice signs (third in pecking order for practice reps, not taking all 11-11 reps, no positive news from staff, etc.) look to Purdy missing another week.

CHI D’Andre Swift - DNP, DNP. This is the same groin injury he has been recovering from which means two missed practices doesn’t mean he’ll for sure miss this week, but you’ll likely want to see an LP Friday. If he does play, expect to see a solid helping of Kyle Monangai.

NO Alvin Kamara - LP, LP. Expecting Kamara to play this week but his continued managed practices shed light on why his production may be down this year.

NE Rhamondre Stevenson - DNP, DNP. Alarms are raised after missing both practices for a new injury. Start considering alternative options.

HOU Woody Marks - Don’t love the mid-week downgrade after no injury designation Wednesday. Worth keeping an eye on .

CHI Rome Odunze & DJ Moore - Both went DNP, LP. Continue to monitor but lean is they’ll both play in one of the friendliest matchups for WRs.

JAX Travis Hunter - Hunter went from a FP Wednesday to suffering a knee injury in pratice and being downgraded to LP. Given his workload is already a question mark, anything but a FP Friday is concerning for fantasy owners.

HOU Dalton Schultz - DNP, DNP. Schultz has been impacted by a slew of injuries, though sounds like it’s the ankle that’s kept him out of practice this week. Wouldn’t be shocked if they give him this game off to recover.

📊 Poll of the Day

Yesterday’s poll: From Week 9 onward, where do you think Brock Bowers finishes in half PPR fantasy points among TEs?

Is it more likely he doesn’t score the most TE points rest-of-season? Of course. But if I had to pick one of these spots, I’d take first. Assuming he can stay healthy, I think we’re going to see an elite second half.
