• Quinshon Judkins arrested on domestic violence, battery charge [ESPN]

  My take: The good news for Judkins here is it’s only a misdemeanor. And CBS also reported additional details that might downplay the severity. But the bad news for Judkins is the league has been more strict on domestic violence issues, with just last year the Browns having a similar situation with their 2nd round pick that led to a five-game suspension. And the suspension for domestic violence can occur before court proceedings play out. At this time, I’m hopeful this won’t lead to a 2025 suspension but currently downgrading him to behind the Isiah Pacheco / Tony Pollard tier.

• 30 of 32 second-round pick have not yet signed, with Tre Harris of the Chargers being the first to hold out [NFL]

  My take: Nothing worse for rookies than missing valuable training camp reps but this doesn’t look like it’s going to quickly resolve itself around the league. No changes for now but going to be closely monitoring and slowly docking these rookies.

• Kyle Juszczyk says CMC looks healthy/explosive [CBS Sports]

  My take: The drumbeat for CMC continues as we’ve now heard from his coaches, his teammates, and CMC himself about his positive health this year. You can come up with arguments against such as potential managed workload or age regression but I think the arguments for him being a worthwhile first round pick are stronger.
