TNF Preview: WAS @ GB

Tyreek Trade on the Horizon?

📝 News & Notes

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler says Miami has received calls on Hill but isn’t engaging right now [ESPN]
My take: The noteworthy item is that either teams are calling, or the Dolphins want people to believe that to drum up interest. If the former, this means Tyreek is good as gone if the Dolphins’ struggles continue. If the latter, the Dolphins are actively setting the stage for an upcoming trade. Either way, I’m leaning towards an in-season trade for Tyreek if the Dolphins can’t turn around their offense.

Quinshon Judkins meets with NFL as part of personal conduct investigation [Ian Rapoport]
My take: We are merely guessing at likelihood or length of a potential suspension but at the least, it’s a positive to see things moving rather quickly. Hopefully soon we’ll have clarity on any discipline from the league.

Jaguars HC Liam Coen says Travis Hunter will likely see an uptick in defensive snaps [ESPN]
My take: We heard during the pre-season that Hunter’s usage would be fluid on a game-by-game basis, but even with this quote, this is not a guarantee that he would play less offensive snaps as well. My lean is this shouldn’t scare you from starting him if you otherwise already were as I expect he’ll still be out there for most 11 personnel snaps.

📺️ TNF Game Preview

8:15pm ET on Amazon Prime: WAS @ GB (GB -3.5, O/U 48.5)

Start with confidence
Washington - Jayden Daniels, Terry McLaurin, Deebo Samuel
Green Bay - Josh Jacobs, Brandon McManus

Start them if you need to
Washington - Jacory (Bill) Croskey-Merritt, Austin Ekeler, Zach Ertz, Matt Gay
Green Bay - Jordan Love, Matthew Golden, Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, Tucker Kraft

Sit them if you can
Washington - Noah Brown, WAS DST
Green Bay - Dontayvion Wicks, GB DST

My favorite Splash Sports QuickPick
Jacory (Bill) Croskey-Merritt +40.5 rushing yds AND Matthew Golden +36.5 receiving yds

I believe the lines are not accounting enough for the expected increase in usage for both rookies. Despite the Packers shutting down the Lions entire offense, Croskey-Merritt, coming off being PFF’s Week 1 top-rated rusher, should continue to see his role increase and can easily surpass the 40.5 rushing yards line with minor efficiency. And for the Packers, coming off only 22 passing attempts, I expect them to have to pass more with Matthew Golden’s snap share continuing to rise.

For anyone who entered either of my Survivor or O&D contests, you should be receiving the $10 credit in your account soon if you want to tail this QuickPick with me. Everyone else can still get the free $10 in credit by signing up with code HERZIG. And don’t forget to look for if you have any boosts!
