Week 1 Injury Updates
Not again, CMC!?
⚕️ Injury Corner w/ Deepak Chona
Final injury corner before we arrive at Week 1. Overall things looking pretty positive but a few pesky injuries popping up (including Christian McCaffrey limited at practice with calf issue and Christian Kirk being announced out week 1 with a hamstring injury).
De'Von Achane - LP. Unless setback occurs, data strongly favors playing. Re-injury risk likely low (~10%) given that it took only 2 wks to return to practice
Isaiah Likely - Out. Wk 2-4 return = likely. Data suggests 4 game ramp
Tyreek Hill - LP. Likely playing. If LP x3, most WR stats wouldn't dip Wk1
Matthew Stafford - Expect ~100% Wk 1. Very high in-season risk.
AJ Brown - Hamstring. Mild. Likely ~100% Wk 1. Mild injury risk
Jauan Jennings - LP. If LP x3, data projects 2/3 to play. Unclear if extended absence was injury vs contract
Keon Coleman - Groin. Concerning if fresh injury Wed. Thurs practice = key
Stefon Diggs - Data projects 85% pre-injury efficiency Wk 1. 1st 4 wks = often volatile as target volume ramps up
Khalil Shakir - FP. Likely playing. Data favors 20% dip 1st 4-6 wks
Darnell Mooney - LP. If AC sprain, lean toward playing w/o dip
Jayden Reed - DNP. Wk 1 TBD. Likely to rest during wk + attempt to play w/pain. Expect limited snaps + production dip if active
Cade Otton - LP. Groin. Lean toward playing WK 1. Hamstring in pre-season. High in-season risk w/2 soft tissue injuries
Chris Godwin - Lean toward return Wk 4-6. Project slow ramp up. Suspect TB prioritizing long-term given recent contract extension
Josh Downs - Off injury report. Hamstring cost 2 wks in pre-season. Timeline confirms mild severity, low re-injury risk

📊 Poll of the Day
Yesterday’s poll: What are your picks for tonight's game?
Jalen Carter getting ejected six seconds into the game set the stage for a far closer game than Vegas expected. The Cowboys passing game looked strong as expected but they also surprised on the defensive side repeatedly getting pressure against this very strong Eagles offensive line. Cowboys cover with the under.
