Week 12 Key Takeaways for Each Team

For those that got the Sunday rankings email, hopefully they helped you get a W this week! Couple of my stands including having Emanuel Wilson (and his 125 yards and 2 TD) as a top 10 RB and Wan’Dale Robinson (and his 9/156/1 line) as a top 24 WR really paid off. Everyone that missed out, don’t worry, I’ll try to keep finding ways like that to reward you all for supporting by clicking on ads.
📝 Week 12 Key Takeaways
New York Jets @ Baltimore Ravens
Jets: John Metchie III & Adonai Mitchell become full-time starters
Ravens: Andrews’ snap share quietly spikes back up
With Garrett Wilson/Josh Reynolds out, Adonai Mitchell and John Metchie III both played 90%+ of snaps in 2- and 3-WR sets, with Metchie leading at 6/65/1 while Lazard/Williams/Smith rotated in the slot
Mark Andrews reclaimed more 3rd-down and 21-personnel routes from Likely/Kolar despite a 1/9 line, and Justice Hill slid right back into his usual passing-down role
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Chicago Bears
Steelers: Gainwell is forcing a true 1A/1B backfield
Bears: Monangai takes over early downs from Swift
Kyle Monangai handled most early-down and goal-line work while D’Andre Swift stayed in the passing-down role, creating a classic “power back + receiving back” split
Kenneth Gainwell followed last week’s spike with 10/92 rushing and 6/30 receiving alongside a still-involved Jaylen Warren, putting him in the PPR flex conversation
Quick hit: Luther Burden’s growing snap share makes Bears WR pecking order tougher to predict
New England Patriots @ Cincinnati Bengals
Patriots: Henderson keeps the job over Stevenson (tbd if health related)
Bengals: Injuries could funnel even more work to Chase Brown
New England stuck with TreVeyon Henderson as the early-down back (18/66) and moved Rhamondre Stevenson into mostly 3rd-down work, while Boutte/Hollins became near every-down outside WRs and Diggs/Douglas lost snaps
With Tee Higgins and Tahj Brooks both leaving hurt and Ja’Marr Chase already suspended, Cincinnati leaned on heavy 12 personnel and an almost every-snap Chase Brown, setting him up for massive usage Thursday if Perine/Brooks can’t go
Quick hit: Tee Higgins likely to miss Thursday’s game due to a concussion but expecting to see Joe Burrow return
New York Giants @ Detroit Lions
Giants: Wan’Dale is the only startable WR
Lions: Gibbs is fully unleashed as an elite workhorse
Jahmyr Gibbs hit a season-high 73.9% of snaps and detonated for 219 rushing yards plus 11/45/1 as a receiver, while David Montgomery fell to about one-third of the snaps and minimal work
The Giants basically recreated their 2023 trio (Slayton, Hodgins, Robinson), but Wan’Dale’s 9/156/1 firmly cemented him as the only WR you want in typical leagues
Minnesota Vikings @ Green Bay Packers
Vikings: J.J. McCarthy ranks 851 out of 852 in EPA per Dropback among qualified passers since 2000
Packers: Emanuel Wilson rewards the spot start with 125 yards and a TD
With Josh Jacobs out, Emanuel Wilson handled the valuable touches and scored twice while Chris Brooks saw more passing-script snaps; Wilson should be held until Jacobs is fully over the knee issue
Minnesota nearly split early-down single-TE snaps between T.J. Hockenson and Josh Oliver, and with Hock still lacking any big-yardage games, his path to fantasy relevance keeps shrinking
Indianapolis Colts @ Kansas City Chiefs
Colts: Jonathan Taylor struggles against stout KC defense
Chiefs: Hunt remains the clear workhorse with Pacheco out
Ashton Dulin’s hamstring issue just removes the rotational backup behind Pittman/Downs; Jonathan Taylor and Tyler Warren remain every-down usage winners
Kareem Hunt dominated the backfield (30/104/1) while Isiah Pacheco recovers
Seattle Seahawks @ Tennessee Titans
Seahawks: Walker finally gets feature-back usage
Titans: Dike is the top WR by default
Kenneth Walker III jumped to a season-high 62.5% of snaps, dominating early downs and most third downs and turning it into 11/71 rushing plus 3/30 receiving
With Calvin Ridley on IR and Elic Ayomanor out, Chimere Dike led a thin Titans WR group (5/44/1) and should be their top option rest of season, though weekly volume will still be shaky
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Arizona Cardinals
Jaguars: Strange immediately looks like a late-season TE1
Cardinals: Week 13 RB value is all about who’s active
Brenton Strange came off IR, reclaimed a ~70% snap role and led Jacksonville in receiving (5/93), putting him squarely on the TE waiver radar
Arizona split Bam Knight (early downs) and Michael Carter (passing downs), then lost Knight in OT; with Trey Benson close to returning and a soft matchup vs Tampa Bay, you’re simply chasing whichever Cardinal RB is healthy and starting next week
Quick hit: Marvin Harrison Jr. sitting again kept Michael Wilson/Xavier Weaver/Greg Dortch in last week’s roles
Cleveland Browns @ Las Vegas Raiders
Browns: Sampson is a priority handcuff behind Judkins
Raiders: Jeanty/Mayer injuries tilt opportunity to Mostert & Bowers
Quinshon Judkins briefly visited the medical tent multiple times but finished the game, while Dylan Sampson picked up extra late snaps; with a favorable schedule coming, Sampson is a decent insurance add
Ashton Jeanty and Michael Mayer both left with ankle injuries, leaving Raheem Mostert to close at RB and Ian Thomas to absorb TE snaps while Brock Bowers’ expanded role stayed intact
Quick hit: If Jeanty sits, expect Mostert to lead with Zamir White mixing in on early downs
Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys
Eagles: Barkley finally gets the PPR usage he needed
Cowboys: Less WR rotation, Mingo just depth for now
Saquon Barkley again struggled on the ground (10/22) but delivered a season-high 7/52 as a receiver on 82.5% of snaps, giving him a much clearer PPR floor if that role sticks
Dallas deactivated Jalen Tolbert for Jonathan Mingo but mainly just tightened the rotation. Lamb climbed back over 80% of snaps and Turpin hit his highest rate in weeks, with Mingo barely seeing the field
Atlanta Falcons @ New Orleans Saints
Saints: If Kamara misses time, Neal and Hill both matter
Falcons: Mooney’s breakout came with scary usage
After Alvin Kamara’s knee injury, Devin Neal played 57 of 66 snaps and caught 5/43 while Taysom Hill logged 21 snaps and eight carries; given an excellent remaining schedule, both are strong waiver targets if Kamara sits
Without Drake London, Atlanta leaned heavily on 13 personnel where Mooney surprisedly split snaps with David Sills V. He had a productive day (3/74/1) while only playing 66% of the offensive snaps
Quick hit: Chris Olave is still the alpha, with Devaughn Vele a deeper-league stash as the full-time partner opposite him
If you want more detailed information on each game, including the full breakdown from the Bucs/Rams game, I highly recommend Nathan Jahnke’s weekly article which is the data source for much of this information.
