📝 News & Notes

We have the Injury Corner below but wanted to highlight a few additional noteworthy injuries and implications

LAR Davante Adams - He has now missed the last two practices with a hamstring injury. A veteran like him doesn’t need to practice to play but two straight DNPs makes him a true Q for Sunday.

CAR Chuba Hubbard - Suffered a calf injury during Thursday’s practice. If he is unable to go, Rico Dowdle becomes a decent start in a plus matchup vs NE.

LAC Oronde Gadsden II - Those who have been FFin60 subscribers since August should recognize this tight end’s name as he was the talk of camp. With Will Dissly still missing practice, and continued praise for Gadsden, he is becoming a worthwhile TE add both for this week and beyond.

TB Chris Godwin - Got in a full practice Wednesday but no practice Thursday. Whether a scheduled rest day or a setback, both highlight how our expectations for his first game or two should be managed. I’d be very surprised if he plays a full set of snaps in Week 4.

⚕️ Injury Corner with Deepak Chona

  • WAS Jayden Daniels - Wk 4 TBD. Lean slightly toward playing. Data favors dip in rushing attempts

  • SF Brock Purdy - LP, LP. “Feeling better.” Lean to playing Wk 4. Esp w/Mac Jones also LP w/PCL

  • NYG Tyrone Tracy - Likely out. Avg = 3 wks. Most will return in-season

  • TB Mike Evans - 3-4 wks. Projects rapid ramp up. In '24, 7 wks post-hamstring = 95 ypg + 5 TDs. High re-injury (~25%)

  • WAS Terry McLaurin - Saw sports hernia specialist. Listed quad. Second opinion implies at least moderate severity. Expected to sit Wk 4, could be extended absence. “No surgery, at least not as of right now”

  • KC Xavier Worthy - FP, FP. Strongly lean toward playing Wk 4. Project strong stats + high (~50% in-season) re-injury risk

  • SF Jauan Jennings - DNP, DNP. Not ruling out yet but not looking good. Will likely need to get at least a LP Friday

  • LV Brock Bowers - FP, FP. If FP x3, predicts end of stats dip w/in 2 wks. Avg mild PCL dip = 3-4 wks (he's at 2)

  • BAL Isaiah Likely - LP, LP. Data favors return Wk 4. Pass-catchers avg 4 wk ramp up
